Abstract:
Sodium tripolyphosphate is prepd. for use as raw material of a synthetic detergent. Phosphate is reacted with ammonia and sodium base to give sodium ammonium phosphate. Sodium ammonium phophate is dissolved into hot water, and then is reacted with sodium base in high pressure reactor. In this reactor, the reaction time is 5-30 mins and temp. is 80-350≰C and pressure is 1-200 atm.. Produced sodium phosphate is calcined to sodium tripolyphosphate.
