Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a phototypesetter capable of performing pseudo printing and actual printing by the same operating method for any of top-end justification, center justification and end justification by suby an arrangement wherein a main control circuit for a feeding control circuit, memory unit and arithmetic operation circuit is provided and specific contents are memorized in the memory unit. CONSTITUTION:A memory unit 16 is caused to memorize an accumulated amount of pseudo character feeding for every pseudo printing, the number of spaces and a weight amount of space feeding in actual printing determined by the content of a justification command. At the time of actual printing, a main control circuit 14 causes a unit to calculate data based on such kinds of information as present position, top of line and end of line coordinate values and accumulated amount of pseudo character feeding, and causes a sensitized material drum 6 or a traveling system to move to an appropriate position of each justification, and at the time of spacing, it causes the drum to perform such an amount of spacing added with the weight amount. As long as one of top-end justification center justification or end justification command is given to the control circuit from a group of input switches 19, its operating method becomes the same for any justification form.
