Abstract:
A crcuit (10) for controlling the proportions of a plurality of solvents (A,B,C,D) being introduced into a column of a liquid chromatograph. The circuit (10) compensates for the compressibility of liquids by dividing the time during each pumping cycle during which the pump (36) is delivering liquid to the column into a known number of intervals. A circuit (24) responsive to the interval signals opens and closes solvent valves (16,18,20,22) thereby allowing the solvents (A,B,C,D) to be introduced into the pump (28) in the desired proportions.
