Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the phototypesetter whose operability and efficiency are greatly improved by such an arrangement wherein memorized preset points for typesetting are displayed on a CRT unit, and simultaneously the address of each point stored in a memory unit is also displayed and their print positions can also be indicated by special symbol marks. CONSTITUTION:Coordinates in a data memory circuit 37, which are to be confirmed, are designated by a memorized coordinate display designating switch of a coordinate memory switch on a control console 34, which was used for writing down, and they are sent to the data memory circuit 37 through a data processing circuit 36. The designated coordinates are sent to circuits 40, 42, and bright spots 45 and coordinate memory switch numbers 46 are generated and they are written down in addresses in an image memory 39 designated by the circuit 40 and displayed on a CRT. As to the display of the top and end of a line, symbols S1, S2 are generated by the circuit 42 and they are similarly displayed on the CRT for indicating the top and end of a line determined for printing.
