Abstract:
A sulfate of tetrahydrobiopterin having the formula (I):and a process for preparing the same, which comprises crystallizing tetrahydrobiopterin from an aqueous medium containing sulfuric acid. The sulfate has a high crystallinity of the (6R)-form and the process easily give a sulfate of (6R)-form.
