Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R is C2-3 nitratoalkyl). EXAMPLE:2,6-Dimethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl)-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarbo xylic acid 3-(2-cyanoethyl) ester 5-(3-nitratopropyl) ester. USE:An intermediate of asymmetric 1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid di(nitratoalkyl) ester useful as a remedy for circulatory diseases. The titled derivative is also useful as a remedy for circulatory disorder such as the defective blood circulation in coronary vessel and cerebral vessel, and hypertension, etc. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be pepared either by (1) reacting the compounds of formulas II-IV (one of R<1> and R<2> is R and the other is 2- cyanoalkyl) in one step or by (2) reacting the compound of formula II with the compound of formula III, and reacting the resultant compound of formula Vwith the compound of formula IV.
