Abstract:
In the process for the preparation of polyhydroxybutadiens (hydroxy-containing butadiene homopolymers) by polymerisation of a diene in the presence of hydrogen peroxide catalyst and an alcohol solvent, an aqueous solution of alkali metal sulcite or bisulfate is injected into the polyhydroxybutadiene solvent recovery section to prevent fouling.
