Abstract:
There are disclosed a prophylactic and curing composition for arteriosclerosis, which comprises as an active ingredient a 8-chloro-1,5-benzothiazepine derivative represented by the formula: wherein R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> each represent lower alkyl groups, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a use of the compound (I) or a pharmaceutcally acceptable salt thereof for preparing a prophylactic and curing composition for arteriosclerosis.
