Abstract:
A building (1) is described with floor levels (5) on which there are shop units or the like (6) and which are at least partially connected by, among other things, continuously ascending ramps (7). In order to accommodate the greatest possible number of shop units or the like in a limited area which does not allow a communicating surface design, it is envisaged that the building (1) should be constructed on pillars (2), to which are fixed girders (3) with inlaid trapezoidal surfaces (4) in such a way that the difference in height between adjacent girders (3) is such that for a given center distance between pillars (2) a ramp (7) of constant gradient will have a gradient of not substantially more than 6 %, and the ramp (7) will extend in an approximate spiral throughout the main vertical extent of the building (1).
