Abstract:
PURPOSE:To discriminate whether various light source devices are properly assembled and adjusted in a production line or not and to observe and measure characteristics of these devices in the experimental development level by providing a specific video camera, a cursor generator, a monitor television, and an oscilloscope. CONSTITUTION:A video camera 1 detects the light beam transmitted through a dial 14 to generate a video signal. A cursor generator 3 periodically generates a cursor signal at a desired timing, and a monitor television receives both signals to display the section of the light beams and a cursor on a screen. An oscilloscope 4 displays the video signal on the screen with the cursor signal as the trigger signal. Consequently, the sectional shape of the beam is easily observed on the television 2, and the cursor is freely moved to display the intensity distribution, the diameter, or the like on the oscilloscope 4. The distance between a light source and the camera 1 is adjusted to measure the focal length and the angle of divergence of the beam, and further, a filter and an expanding lens are attached to the camera to perform measurement without an influence of the intensity and the diameter of the beam.
