Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent defective welding when cell connecting electrode poles are electric-resistance-welded by forming them with an alloy of Pb-Se-Ca-Sn. CONSTITUTION:Cell connecting electrode poles 1a and 1b are formed with an alloy of Pb-Se-Ca-Sn, and they are disposed as if they cover the through aperture 3 provided on a partition wall 2 made of polypropylene. This alloy has a composition as shown in the following: Se: 0.003-0.05 wt.%, Ca: 0.03-0.3 wt.%, Sn: 0.1-4 wt.% and Pb: the residual. The cell connecting electrode poles 1a and 1b are pressure-deformed and made to come into contact by extruding electrodes 4a and 4b, and then they are energized being kept under pressure. Thereby the whole of a connecting part 5 is completely welded.
