Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS4111063
Kind Code:
Y1
Abstract:
910,442. Inductances; aromatic voltage control systems. WESTINGHOUSE ELEC. TRIC CORPORATION. March 23, 1961 [May 26 1960], No. 10700/61. Classes 38 (2) and 38 (4). To reduce leakage reactance in an induction voltage regulator 30 (Fig. 13) the width of the slots 51 in the laminated rotor 39 is greater than the space 53 between adjacent slots 64 in the laminated stator, the rotor slots 51 accommodating the primary winding 37 and the stator slots accommodating the secondary winding comprising sections 35A, 35B. The induction regulator is housed in a partitioned oil-filled casing (Fig. 3, not shown) together with rotor driving motors, a transformer, an electronic control circuit and their associated leads and accessories. The laminations of the stator and of the rotor are bonded with an epoxy resin. In the control circuit, Fig. 16, a rectifier and stabilized voltage proportional to the output of the regulator 30 developed across the preset potential dividers 346, 354, is applied to the transistors T1 and T11. When the regulator output voltage decreases, transistor T1 is switched on so switching off transistor T2 and switching on transistor T3. The effective output impedance of transistor T3 as reflected across the rectifier 314 decreases allowing the rotor drive motor 60 to rotate. Similarly should the regulator output voltage rise, transistor T11 is switched off, switching on transistor T14 and allowing rotor drive motor 70 to rotate.
