[Also in Divisions G2-G3] An electrophotographic material is doped with a hole-trapping or electron-trapping impurity throughout the layer or on the surface of the layer so that when charged a surface of the layer is insensitive to radiation. Preferred materials are selenium doped with thallium to produce positive charging and selenium doped with chlorine to produce negative charging.
