[Also in Division F1] In a reciprocating-piston slurry-pump each of two pistons in parallel cylinders includes a sleeve 66 with forwardly and rearwardly projecting lips and mounted on an annular plate 65, a face plate 67 being secured to a clamping plate 62 by screws 68. A tube 61 connects the plate 62 to a spoked disc 64 carrying a guide ring 72. A rod 69 on the plate 67 limits the forward stroke of the piston, which is effected by hydraulic pressure on the rearward side of the piston. Lugs 70 on the plate 67 facilitate interconnection of the two pistons by a cable 8 whereby the forward stroke of one piston effects the return stroke of the other piston.
