Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS4836939
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
1,232,833. Sheet forming. COMPAGNIA ITALIANA NEST-PACK S.p.A. 8 May, 1968 [9 May, 1967; 27 Sept., 1967], No. 21839/68. Heading B5A. A rotary vacuum forming machine (see Fig. 1, not shown), in which a heat-softened web is sucked into moulds carried by trays 4 located about the periphery of a drum, includes projecting transverse blades 12 against which a spring- biased skewed blade 13 bears in order to subdivide the moulded web into sections. The blade is pivotally carried by members 14-17 and is prevented from contacting the sheet other than over the blades 12 by a suitably placed stop. The blades may extend over the whole width of the web or, as in the Figure, they may stop short of edges of the web, in which case knives are provided (see Fig. 3, not shown) to remove the uncut margins. Each tray may carry one or more moulds and the blades 12 may be located so as to sever the sheet into sections corresponding to one or more trays. In the event of each section containing more than one article the sections may be stacked and fed to a cutter where stacks of individual articles are stamped out (see Figs. 4 and 5, not shown).
