1398008 Golf balls POLYSAR Ltd 18 Dec 1972 [20 Dec 1971] 58240/72 Heading A6D [Also in Division C3] A golf ball comprises an elastic core and a. hard cover of a composition comprising a mixture of (A) a crystalline alternating copolymer of substantially equimolar amounts of a conjugated C 4-10 alkadiene or mixture of such alkadienes and an acrylic nitrile, the alkadiene or alkadiene mixture containing not less than 40 mole% of a 2-alkyl butadiene, and (B) a crystalline hydrocarbon polymer of a C 4-10 conjugated alkadiene having at least 85% of the alkadiene units in the trans-1, 4 configuration, the mixture containing from 40 to 99 weight % of (B) based on the weight of (A) and (B).
