1451760 Oil compositions SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 14 Dec 1973 [22 Jan 1973] 3129/73 Heading C5F Oil compositions, for use as transmission fluid, shock absorber fluid or hydraulic fluid, comprise 0À001-0À1% w. of 4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzotriazole and 0À01-5% w. of an oilsoluble di-ester of chlorendic acid (i.e. 1,4,5,6,7,7- hexachlorobicyclo - (2,2,1) - 5 - heptene - 2,3- dicarboxylic acid). In the examples the compositions consist of a base oil which is either a vacuum distillate of a paraffinic crude oil or a blend of vacuum distillates of paraffinic and naphthenic crude oils, 4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-benzotriazole, dioctyl ester of chlorendic acid, 2,6-di-tbutyl-4-methyl phenol, a copolymer of C 12-18 alkylmethacrylates and N-vinyl pyrrolidone, basic calcium naphthasulphonate, dioctyl hydrogen phosphate, a C 12-15 alkylmethacrylate polymer and a silicone fluid.
