[Also in Division C2C] Fungicidal compositions contain as the active ingredient a compound of formula wherein n is 1 or 2, Alk is C 1-4 alkylene, X is H or one or more substitutents chosen from halogen atoms, C 1-6 alkyl, C 1-6 alkoxy, NO 2 , CN, CF 3 , COOK, COOR where R is a C 1-20 aliphatic or araliphatic hydrocarbon group, C 1-6 alkylthio, amino, mono- or di-(C 1-6 alkyl) amino, haloalkyl with 1-6 carbon atoms, CHO, COCH 3 , and SO 2 - alkylene-SCN where the alkylene group has 1-6 carbon atoms. For medicinal use the active compounds are mixed with or dissolved in or dispersed in solid or pharmaceutically acceptable liquid diluents and, if desired, in conjunction with lubricants, dispersing agents or means for improving solublity. The above compositions are also used for combating fungi or preventing fungi in plants, seeds and may be used in the form of wettable powders, dispersions in water or solutions in oils. The compositions may contain other fungicides or pesticides such as triphenylatin hydroxide or acetate, or tetrachloroisophthalonitrile-mercaptan.
