1426189 Hot gas engines PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 28 June 1973 [1 July 1972] 30812/73 Heading F1S The interior surface of the heater 9 and parts of the working space 10 which are at high temperature during operation of the engine are coated with a layer of silicon nitride and the heater walls and the walls of the parts of the working space which are coated are made of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion which is approximately equal to or greater than that of the deposited silicon nitride. It is possible to use hydrogen as the working medium without excessive loss of the medium by diffusion through walls of the engine or heater. Methods of depositing the silicon nitride are described.
