Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS4992062
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
Tricyclic compounds of the formula 1, in which the radicals Z<1>, Z<2> and Z<3> have the meaning given in Patent Claim 1, are obtained by oxidising compounds of the formula 2, in which Z<1'> denotes an acyl group derived from a carboxylic acid or Z<1>, in the 10-position and simultaneously oxidising an acyl group Z<1'> which may be present to the carboxyl group. The compounds are optionally converted into their salts or, if at least one of these substituents Z<1> and Z<2> is a carboxyl group, into their esters or amides by esterification or amidation. In mammals, the compounds act as inhibitors of certain allergic reactions. Several of the compounds of the formula 1 prepared are novel.
