Abstract:
New derivatives of pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine-(1H,3H)-2,4-dione, the nitrogen atom of which in position 1 carries phenyl or substituted phenyl, whereas the nitrogen in 3 carries pentyl, cyclopropylalkyl, trifluoromethyl, difluoromethyl, trifluoroethyl or alkyl alkoxyformate. These compounds are prepared by introduction of the substituent into position 3. The new compounds are useful as anti-inflammatory agents, analgesics and central nervous system depressors.
