1536701 Bulk storage bag; winding webs and filaments BETTER AGRICULTURAL GOALS CORP [trading as BAG CORP] 1 Dec 1975 [16 Dec 1974] 49236/75 Headings B8K and B8G [Also in Division B5] A flexible bulk storage bag comprises an outer covering of sheet material surrounding a sling 90 of flexible webbing which supports a double walled interior bag surrounded by helically wound filamentary material 80. The interior bag may be formed by winding sheet material to provide two layers on a mandrel or by positioning preformed tubes of sheet material one within the other. When the interior bag is formed by winding, overlapping portions of the inner and outer walls are secured by lengths of double-backed adhesive tape (38, 46) Fig. 3 (not shown) and the layers are at least partially severed from one another. The inner and outer walls are separately closed at the bottom of the bag by gathering and tying. The filamentary material 80 is adhered to the outer wall 56 of the interior bag. The sling 90 includes concentric bottom supporting portions (92, 94) Fig. 11 (not shown), and loops 96. The outer covering may be formed by winding sheet material 102 or by positioning a pre-formed tube around the interior bag, filamentary material and sling assembly. Overlapping portions of a wound outer covering are secured together by doublebacked adhesive tape 100.
