1525232 Printing process BOWATER PACKAGING Ltd 28 Oct 1975 [28 Oct 1974] 46549/74 Heading B6C A printing process comprising applying an image, e.g. from rollers 1 to a resilient carrier belt 5 which is stretched after receiving ink as it moves towards, e.g. a support roller 6 to impart the enlarged image to a substrate, e.g guided on a roller 8. Various methods for producing the image on the belt 5 are described. Stretching is achieved when holders 10 on the edges of the belt 5 are mated by rotary conveyer screws having helical grooves therein, the pitch of the grooves varying along the screws: Roller heaters may be provided.
