Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5444683
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
A procedure for the stabilization of phthalocyanine pigments characterized in that it consists of incorporating a compound of the formula: Fc [CH2 - X - A] 2 where Fc represents the rest of a phthalocyanine, X represents an oxygen or sulfur atom, A represents an aryl radical eventually substituted by low molecular weight alkyl groups and n represents an integer number between 1 and 8, this incorporation taking place by means of the mixing together the phthalocyanine pigment to be stabilized and the compound of formula I, this mixture can be carried out according to the following modalities: a) The phthalocyanine pigment to be stabilized and the compound of formula I are mixed together in a dry state with or without grinding action; or b) The phthalocyanine pigment to be stabilized and the compound of formula I are ground in the dry state in the presence of a water-soluble mineral salt, the mixture is dispersed in hot water and filtered; or c) The phthalocyanine pigment to be stabilized and the compound of formula I are mixed in aqueous suspension or in an organic solvent, the water or solvent is removed and dried; or d) The phthalocyanine pigment to be stabilized and the compound of formula I are dissolved in sulfuric acid, the solution obtained is poured into water, filtered and dried; or e) A partially chloromethylated phthalocyanine is reacted with a compound HX-A, in which A and X have the same meanings given above.
