Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate a disposal of waste water with a high efficiency with a somplified installation without necessity of a precipitation vessel, by reacting and clarifying aerated water in a mild stream with bacteria. CONSTITUTION:A raw water (water to be disposed) is carried through a charging pipe 5 and its top opening 5-a into a vertical pipe 2, where the water is mixed with air or oxygen injected through a lower discharging hole 3-b and lifted as a mixture with the gas. The mixture is carried into a cylindrical separator 6, where the mixture is separated to a gas part and a water part. The gas is discharged through an exhaust opening 7. The water falls down through the separator 6, strikes on a horizontal bottom plate 8, flows horizontally, flows as a mild stream at a lower part of an umbrella-shaped partition plate 9, and flows through an over-flow pipe 10 into a discharge pipe 11. Thus, the water flows as a mild stream in the whole of the reaction vessel, so that solid-liquid separation can be done sufficiently. Besides, due to the spheroidal shape of the reaction vessel, there is no dead space for the stream in the reaction vessel. A temperature of the water hardly falls, owing to a small surface area as compared with a vessel having the same volume. Consequently, a disposal efficiency is hardly decreased.
