Title:
METHOD OF KEEPING FRESHNESS OF MEAT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS58107134
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: A laminated material absorbing drips is placed between a chemical that absorbs oxygen or liberates carbon dioxide and the meat to keep the oxygen concentration to a certain level to maintain the freshness of meat easily in low costs.

CONSTITUTION: The laminated material is composed of a porous material 2, a resin layer 3 consisting of a resin powder insoluble in water, absorbing water, which is prepared by partial crosslinking of a water-soluble resin, or consisting of a mixture thereof with an inorganic porous powder, and another material not permeating liquid 4, and an adhesive layer 5 is formed partially in the resin layer 3. When meat is packed using the laminated material 1, the meat 6, a chemical absorbing oxygen and/or liberating carbon dioxide 8 and the laminated material 1 put in between the meat and the chemical are placed in the tray 7 and the tray is tightly sealed with a packing material 9 with a certain oxygen permeability such as 3,000W30,000 oxygen permeability so that the oxygen concentration is kept at 5W15% in the package.
