Abstract:

PURPOSE: To utilize heat in the heat accumulating tank effectively by a method wherein a heat accumulating agent, having hydrated salt crystal as the principal part thereof, is arranged in the lower layer of the tank while the heat accumulating agent having organic substance, whose melting point is higher than of the lower layer, as the principal part thereof is arranged in the upper layer, in a heat accumulating type cooling and heating device or the like.

CONSTITUTION: The heat medium, heated in a heat collector 8, is circulated through a pipe line 6 under providing the heat accumulating agents 2, 3 with heat in a heat collecting side heat exchanger 4. In this case, the low-melting point heat accumulating agent 2 begins to melt first and is ascended by the effect of convection, thus, a temperature difference of about 5W10°C is generated. The heat accumulating agent 3 in the upper layer, which has a higher melting point by about 4W5°C, utilizes the temperature difference in the lower layer as the auxiliary means of heat accumulation by melting effectively and prevents the evaporation of moisture in the hydrated salt heat accumulating agent in the lower layer to enable to use it in stable. On the other hand, in a heat dissipating process, the heat medium, comming from an indoor air conditioner 9 through the pipe line 7, receives heat in the indoor side heat exchanger 5 and is circulated. In this case, the upper layer heat accumulating agent 3 is solidified first, but it becomes ready to grow in the lower part by the effect of convection, therefore, the solidifying speed in the up-and-down direction through the whole of the heat accumulating agent becomes uniform substantially.
