PURPOSE: To prevent an unsightly picture screen from appearance of a signal under equalization in a ghost eliminating circuit on the screen, by using an output after or before ghost elimination through changeover depending on a signal whether or not being under equalization.
CONSTITUTION: A video signal A including ghost being an output of an intermediate frequency video detection circuit 12 and a video signal B eliminating ghost are switched at a switch circuit 13 with a signal E whether or not being under equalization outputted from a ghost eliminating circuit 11, and applied to a video signal processing amplifier circuit 14 and a chroma signal processing amplifier circuit 15. That is, the signal A is outputted during ghost equalization period and the signal B is outputted after equalization. The signal E representing the state of equalization is processed at an operation circuit (not shown) and this signal changes over the signals A and B. Thus, the signal under equalization in the circuit 11 does not appear at the screen, allowing to prevent an unsightly screen.
