PURPOSE: To contrive a mass production of winding cores, by a method wherein an amorphous alloy strip is transferred to form therein cuts at predetermined spacings for cutting the strip into pieces, and is then wound on a rectangular bobbin to form a winding core, which is coated with a bonding agent and then pulled to be divided into two U-shaped core portions.
CONSTITUTION: While an amorphous alloy strip 2 is being wound on a rectangular bobbin, cuts for cutting the strip 2 into pieces are formed in the strip 2 at predetermined spacings determined by the take-up amount and the tickness of the strip 2. Thus, a rectangular winding core 14 can be obtained. When the strip 2 has been wound, the cuts C are superposed one on another. Then, a bonding agent 14a is applied to the peripheries of the cuts C in the winding core 14, and the core 14 is pulled from both sides to divide into two U-shaped cores 14A, 14B. The two cores 14A, 14B are inserted into core windows 16a of a winding 16 from both sides, and the cut portions of the cores 14A, 14B are connected together, thereby allowing a transformer or reactor to be simply formed. This method is suitable for a mass production.
