PURPOSE: To obtain a molded product having boundaries and a stream lined pattern by a method wherein compound for patterning thickened by polyisocyanate-contained thickener is dispersed in sheet molding compound being thickened by a specific thickener.
CONSTITUTION: Sheet molding compound thickened by unsaturated polyester resin by the thickener that contains alkaline earth metal oxide or hydroxide is prepared. Then, the above-said compound is used as the base material, in this compound is dispersed and arranged texture molding compound thickened by the polysocyanate-contained thickener and this compound is heated and pressed simultaneously in the mold to be hardened and to obtain the resin product. The above-mentioned base material is composed mainly of unsaturated polyester resin, inorganic filler, hardener, internal mold releasing agent, thickener and, if necessary, low shrinkage agent, etc.
