Abstract:
PURPOSE:To effectively break the arch formed near the outlet port of powder hopper, by orienting the nozzle of high-pressure air projector at an angle to the centripetal direction. CONSTITUTION:Several high-pressure air projectors A are attached in several steps to the peripheral side of lower part 14 of the powder hopper 12 near its outlet port 13. The nozzles 5 of the projectors A are oriented into the hopper at an angle alpha to the centripetal direction from the position of the attachment of the projectors. To cut powder out, the arch of the powder formed in the hopper lower part 14 near the hopper outlet port 13 is broken. Since the angle alpha is set at 30 deg. to 60 deg., the shock waves of projected high-pressure air are concentrated in one direction. Thereby, the arc is effectively broken.
