PURPOSE: To prevent jamming by perfect discharging of the first original, to prevent the 2nd original from receiving more than necessary backward feeding force and to increase the speed of copying as a whole by providing a delaying means which controls the timing for conveying the 2nd original onto original glass when the leading end of the 1st original is detected with a sensor for detecting the discharged paper.
CONSTITUTION: In a discharging part 40, a discharging passage 44 is formed of guiding plates 41, 42. The end part of the plate 42 is extended up onto said part 1 from above a conveying belt 30, thus constituting a discharging tray 43. A sensor 45 for detecting the discharging of originals and a pair of discharging rollers 46, 46 are installed in the passage 44. The sensor 45 goes on when the leading end of the original passes therethrough and goes off when the trailing end of the original passes therethrough. The rollers 46, 46 are rotated and driven by the detection signal for the leading end emitted by the sensor 4. The rotation is stopped with delay for a constant time by the detection signal for the trailing end emitted by the sensor 45.
