Abstract:
PURPOSE: To achieve the random cutting diameter automatically without replacing the cutter, by making the position of the cutter mounted at the tip of the boring spindle advancable/retreatable in the radial direction.
CONSTITUTION: After setting the swing arm 16 at the predetermined angle, the servo-motor 31 is driven to rotate a bevel gear 30 through a gear 22, shaft 33 and a gear train thus to spin a screw rod 29. Consequently a ram 27 will move in the axial direction. The feeding amount of the ram 27 can be adjusted freely through the rotary angle control of the motor 31. Since the swing angle of the swing arm 16 is also variable, the interval between the cutters 15 can be adjusted to the predetermined length.
