Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a V-belt by regulating the line pressure in proportion to the reduction ratio of a belt speed change unit and in inverse proportion to the negative pressure of an engine suction pipe so as to change the line pressure in accordance with an engine output torque. CONSTITUTION:A reduction ratio calculating circuit 152 calculates the reduction ratio between a driving pulley and driven pulley based on signals 42, 88 from an engine speed sensor 40 and car speed sensor 86 and feeds out a signal 154 regarding the reduction ratio to a required oil pressure calculating circuit 402, which is also fed with a signal 406 regarding the negative pressure of an engine suction pipe from a negative pressure sensor 404. Then, the required oil pressure calculating circuit 402 controls the line pressure in proportion to the reduction ratio and in inverse proportion to the negative pressure of the engine suction pipe and feeds out a signal 418 indicating an oil pressure command value to a line pressure regulating valve driver 420 so as to control a line pressure regulating valve 422.
