Title:
HEAT TREATMENT OF COPPER ALLOY AND LIGHT ALLOY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5842760
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a tough alloy by subjecting a Cu alloy such as tin bronze, lead bronze or high tensile brass or a light alloy such as "Lautal ", "Silumin " "Y Metal " "Elektron " or "Dow Metal to supersubzero trreatment (heat treatment at ≤-130°C).

CONSTITUTION: A Cu alloy such as tin bronze, lead bronze, high tensile brass or aluminum bronze, an Al alloy such as Lautal, Silumin, Y metal or "Hydronalium ", or an Mg alloy such as Elektron or Dow metal is subjected to supersubzero treatment. By this heat treatment strain due to thermal stress is produced, recrystallization is caused, and a tough Cu alloy or a tough light alloy is obtd.
