PURPOSE: To enable to set a temperature, irrespective of the material of a cooking pan and the quantity of content put in the pan by composing a cooker to be controlled by a heating means in such a manner that an rising gradient line of temperature of cooked material is sensed, and a bending point from which the gradient line goes down below a set value is detected, when stew or the like is cooked in the cooker.
CONSTITUTION: The temperature on the bottom of a cooking pan 4 is detected by a sensor 6, the detected value is put into the temperature gradient line detecting part 8 of a temperature controlling part 7 to calculate the degree of inclination, and a result is put into a bending point detecting part 9. Then, a bending point of temperature on the bottom of the pan 4 from which a rising gradient line goes down below a set value is detected, and the data is put into a proportional controller part 10. By the data being put in, the proportional controller part 10 controls a proportional valve 2 to regulate feed of fuel, or to stop feeding thereof. With such an arrangement, the temperature can be set irrespective of the material of the cooking pan and the quantity of content put in the pan.
