Abstract:
A silver halide photographic emulsion which comprises at least one compound represented by the formula (I): (I) where Z represents an atomic group necessary to complete an oxazole nucleus, a benzoxazole nucleus or a naphthoxazole nucleus, R1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, R2 represents an alkoxycarbonylalkyl group, a hydroxyalkyl group, a hydroxyalkoxyalkyl group, a carbamoylalkyl group, a hydroxyphenyl group or a hydroxyalkylphenyl group, and R3 and R4 which may be the same or different each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a chlorine atom or a carboxyl group, and a lithographic silver halide material containing the same.
