Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the gasket having excellent sealing performance through the simple machining of form by utilizing an ultra-plastic characteristic by forming an uneven projection as a sealing material for sealing a fluid through pressing, etc. to a sheet, etc. composed of each ultra-plastic material of a nonferrous group or a steel group. CONSTITUTION:The sheet or a powdered material consisting of the nonferrous group ultra-plastic material such as an Al alloy or a Zn alloy or the steel group ultra-plastic material such as eutectoid steel or alloy steel is pressed, heated and thermally treated by means of a die and the uneven projection is shaped, or said ultra-plastic material and a member composed of a metallic material, an elastic material and ceramics are pressure-welded and the uneven projection is formed, and the gasket as the sealing material for sealing the fluid is formed by the projection. For example, the projection 6 is formed to a base sheet 5 consisting of the ultra-plastic material, and the projection is mounted among both a liner 7 and a block 8 and a head 9. A seal ring 4 composed of an ultra-plastic material is stacked onto both surfaces of the base sheet 5 made up of the metallic material, ceramics, etc.
