PURPOSE: To prevent the staining of recording papers without damaging the advantages of concurrent copying by a method in which any one of rollers provided in such a way as to insert a printing heat between the printing head and the recording paper is selectively contacted with the recording paper.

CONSTITUTION: Rollers 35a and 35b are selectively pushed toward a recording paper 41 by a stable spring 44 as the projection 38 of a roller-fitted plate is switched and inversed by switchers 39 and 40. Since the rollers 35a and 36b are provided near a printing head 34 in such a way as to insert the printing head and only the roller situated on the front side of the advancing direction of the printing head 34 is contacted with the recording paper, the rising of the record ing paper 41 in the neighborhood of the printing head 34 can be exactly prevented, and therefore, the staining of the recording paper 41 due to the contact of the printing head with the end face of print can be avoided. Also, since the roller on the back side of the advancing direction of the printing head does not contact with the recording paper, the staining of the recording paper by the contact of the roller immediately after printing can also be avoided.
