Abstract:
Chemiluminescent substituted epidioxy-polycycloalkyl polycycloalkanes of the formula
in which A and B represent alkyiene radicals, which alkylene radicals may be attached to each other via an alkylene radical C, R1 represents chloro, bromo, iodo, hydroxy, optionally substituted alkoxy, cycloalkoxy or acyloxy, or amino, acylamino, isothiocyanato, or isocyanato, with the proviso that in the case of a 4-eq.R1-2,2 min -epidioxy-2,2 min -adamantyl adamantane R1 cannot be chloro or hydroxy.
These compounds are useful as thermochemiluminescent labels and probes in the study of biological processes and in immuno-assays.
Further, the invention relates to processes for preparing the compounds of formula 1.
