Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable speedup of work, by controlling the title method based on measurement of the number of tightening revolutions of a lock nut at the time of temporary tightening of the nut, in a device adjusting automatically a valve gap by revolving an adjusting screw with a motor. CONSTITUTION:The lock nut 55 of an adjusting screw 54 is tightened once at up to aimed tightening torque by a socket 28, and then a necessary tightening number of revolutions until the torque reaches to the aimed torque from tightening starting torque mutually related with a predetermined reference temporary tightening torque is measured. The nut slackening number of revolutions necessary for lowering down to the reference temporary tightening torque from the aimed torque is obtained through computation based on the slacking number of revolutions. Then the lock nut is slackened by the slacking number of revolutions and tightened temporarily at the reference torque.
