Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform simply the inspection of the cable formed of a plurality of signal lines by using the adapter provided with a power source, a logic circuit for determination for each signal line and indication means therefor, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a connector N0 is fitted to one end of the cable C, all the signal lines C1... are connected mutually. Under the condition, only a switch S1 is connected with a resistance R' and only the line C1 is grounded, while other lines C2... are connected to the power source P1. In this case, when the line C2 is disconnected, lines C1 and C2 are not connected and a high-level signal is given from the line C2 to the logic circuit of the adapter formed of a connector N3, whereby the output of the NAND gate Q2 of a logic determination logic circuit corresponding to the line C2 turns to be logic 0. Accordingly, the output of an inverter I2 falls to a low level through FFF2 and only LEDL2 corresponding to the line C2 is lighted. In the same way, the inspection of short-circuit is also conducted and thus the inspection of disconnection and short-circuit of the signal lines in plural composing the cable can be performed simply and surely.
