Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable the collecting property battery, by rendering flat a non-plane figured lead alloy strip having a net-like part and a non-net-like part without lowering the continuousness in the continuous production of a lattice body for a lead storage battery. CONSTITUTION:A lead alloy strip 1 is formed while it passes through the aperture left by a die 2 and a cutter 3, so that a net-like part 5 which is almost perpendicularly developed at both sides of the strip 1 except the central non- net-like part 4. Immediately after the non-net-like part 4 passes through the aperture left by the die 2 and the cutter 3, the non-net-like part 4 is bent underward by the tensile force from the net-like part 5 and proceeds forward. A part 6 is provided along the line, to which direction, the central non-net-like part 4 proceeds. The central non-net-like part is contacted with itself by the small pushing up pressure of the net-like part 5 caused by circular truncated-type rollers 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. Also, the circular truncated rollers 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 rotate freely so that they do not disturb the forward movement of the lead alloy strip 1. Thus, the strip 1 can be flattened without damaging the boundary part of the non-net-like part 4 which is important as a lattice body for a lead storage battery and both sides of the net-like part 5.
