Abstract:
PURPOSE:To take-in water with good efficiency by a method in which a gradually contracted bent tube with a bell mouth is connected to the central part of the bottom of an intake port having a great inlet opening on its outside and an intake tube is connected to the bent tube. CONSTITUTION:An intake port 1 having a great inlet opening on its outside is formed of a ceiling plate 1a and a bottom plate 1b. A gradually contracted bent tube 8 with a bell mouth is connected to the central part of the bottom plate 1b and also to an intake tube 3. Almost uniform flow of water can thus be formed, and water can be taken uniformly from the surrounding water area.
