Abstract:
PURPOSE:To ease the work for joining shell platings to deck platings and also to make sure the connection by forming a concaved portion, opening downward, at between the outside of shell platings and the inside of deck platings and by filling the portion with an adhesive. CONSTITUTION:The top edge of a shell plating 13 of a ship's hull is knuckled outward and nearly horizontally to form a flanged part 11, while the side line of a deck 2 is in contact with the outside of the flanged part 11, further extending downward and almost vertically to form an extended part 21. The portion surrounded by the flanged part 11, extended part 21, and the shell plating 13 is filled with filler 7 consisting of a silicon sealant, connecting each member all together. Members 8 are projections provided inside of the deck 2 at several points and used for positioning of the deck plating by bringing the projection 8 into contact with the flanged part 11.
