Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin useful for packaging, etc., having improved impact resistance and adhesiveness, obtained by grafting a maleic acid onto a copolymer having a polymer block such as conjugated diene, etc., and a polymer block such as a vinyl aromatic compound, etc., in the presence of a radical inhibitor. CONSTITUTION:A maleic acid compound is subjected to a graft reaction with a block copolymer resin having a composition comprising one or polymer blocks such as vinyl aromatic compound, etc., in a weight ratio of the vinyl aromatic compound and the conjugated diene compound of 70/30-97/3 in the presence of a radical inhibitor to give the aimed resin having a ratio of the melt viscosity index of the clock copolymer resin after the graft modification to the melt viscosity index of the block copolymer resin before the modification of 0.025-20 and <=1wt% toluene-insoluble content of the block copolymer resin after the modification.
