Abstract:
The present invention generates and stores map structure information that indicates the relationship between a plurality of maps, and thus the relationship between the plurality of maps is clarified and autonomous movement using the plurality of maps is enabled. The information processing device comprises: a map generation unit which generates maps by using sensor acquisition information of a sensor mounted on a moving body; and a map structure analysis unit which generates map structure information that indicates the relationship between the plurality of maps generated by the map generation unit. When the map generation unit finishes the generation of a first map and generates a new second map, the map structure analysis unit records, in a map structure information storage unit as map transition node information, a node location of a first map transition node that is a mapping finish node of the first map and a node location of a second map transition node that is a mapping start node of the second map. Also, the map generation unit is instructed to execute a process of conserving the first map in the map information storage unit, and start to generate the second map.
