Abstract:
A passenger monitoring device (200) for monitoring the passengers of a vehicle comprises a data acquisition unit (210) that acquires image data that includes an image of between a front seat and a back seat of the vehicle from an imaging unit, a passenger detection unit (220) that uses the image data acquired by the data acquisition unit to detect passengers in an area of the back seat that is below a sitting height, and an output control unit (230) that outputs presentation information to a presentation unit when a passenger has been detected in the area below the sitting position, the presentation information being information related to the passenger detected by the passenger detection unit.
