Abstract:
A photo-luminescent, blistered, crystallizable glass material is produced by a method wherein calcareous and siliceous raw materials are introduced into a rotary kiln, melted and then withdrawn, cooled and optionally crystallized; the introduced raw materials moreover comprise one or more glass compatible photo-luminescing agents and, if desired, other glass-forming minerals. A photo-luminescent concrete, in particular high strength concrete containing the product produced by the above-mentioned method as aggregate, preferably together with an aggregate consisting of synthetic wollastonite, as well as a photo-luminescent gravel material produced by crushing of the above-mentioned concrete.
