Abstract:
There are provided an active matrix substrate that can be efficiently corrected without making a short-circuited picture element entirely into a black spot even when a short circuit between adjacent picture element electrodes occurs in any peripheral portion of the picture element electrode, a liquid crystal panel having the active matrix substrate, and methods of correcting them. Each of picture element electrodes (10) arranged in a matrix on an active matrix substrate (AM substrate) (12) is sectioned into small regions (10b). The small regions (10b) are integrally connected through electric connectors (10c). Wires (36, 38) for transmitting a signal to each picture element electrode (10) are provided avoiding the regions overlapping with the electric connectors (10c) of each picture element electrode (10).
